Self-Published Authors

Anyone who has visited our shop knows it’s a small (800 square feet) and intimate space. Our shelves and display tables are overflowing with books but not to the extent the store feels overcrowded. As a result, we have limited room for self-published and independently published books by local and regional authors.

Writers are welcome to drop off a copy of their work for review; however, doing so does not guarantee it will be added to the store inventory. We will not consider books that are blindly mailed to the store. Once the owner has had the opportunity to read all or part of the submission, the author will be notified if the store is interested in consigning the book. If yes, the author will be required to complete a Consignment Agreement Form and drop off the requested number of copies.

Books will be held for six months before a determination is made whether to continue offering them or to terminate the consignment agreement. If terminated, all unsold books will be returned to the author.

Author Events

The shop periodically hosts author events such as readings, book signings, and meet-and-greets. During the summer months we occasionally host local authors on Saturday afternoons for book signings. Authors interested in taking advantage of in-store opportunities should contact the store for more details and scheduling information.
